Activate All RI 2026 is a Rhode Island POTA community weekend with the goal of activating all 61 Parks on the Air references in Rhode Island.
The main event runs September 11–13, 2026, with an optional early start on September 10. We still need activators to volunteer to activate a park. Hunters and other interested operators can follow the developing schedule online.

Hello Hams,
I am looking for hams to support the Surftown Half Marathon and 5K on Sunday September 13th 2026, our largest event here in Westerly. Many of you have assisted with this event in the past and I hope to see you again. I know there are new hams, other hams and potential hams that have not had the opportunity to support public service events. Feel free to encourage their participation, all are welcome.
The Hartford Marathon Foundation supports charities throughout the region at many of the race events they produce. They have rallied thousands of participants and volunteers to “run for good” and each year, charities associated with HMF events raise over $500,000 through their runs.
Running along the ocean front streets of Misquamicut Beach, Watch Hill and Weekapaug, RI, the Surftown Half Marathon is a spectacular beach race featuring stunning ocean views! Fast and flat, the 13.1 mile half marathon is a great destination race with live entertainment on the course, pace teams and a well-marked route with timing clocks, fluid stations and support on the course. The Surftown Half Marathon is a favorite of many runners, up to 2,800 every year,
This is a large event and requires a substantial number of hams. Non hams are welcome also because they are a great help to the hams providing the communications.
Below is the Hartford Marathon Foundation’s web address for the event.

If you are available or not please let me know. If you are mentoring a new or potential ham bring them along it is a great learning experience as well as a chance to meet other hams and support the community. If you know anyone who might be interested that did not receive this email please forward. Also pass on to your clubs and teams.
